Hello
Pinyin makes pronunciation and early reading visible. Characters are added carefully rather than treated as the only starting point.
Who it is for
The language stays Mandarin, but the pace, examples, activities and level of independence change with the learner’s age and purpose.
Little Sprout · Ages 3–5
Short activities use teacher modelling, listening, repetition, pictures, movement, Pinyin and games. Characters appear gradually when they support the child’s learning.
Growing Learner · Ages 6–10
Speaking and listening develop alongside Pinyin, sentence building, reading, character recognition, conversation and age-appropriate writing.
Adults
Adult lessons can focus on first conversations, personal interest, work-related communication, continued development or examination preparation where appropriate.
The learning path
The sequence is steady, but not rigid. A teacher may revisit or combine stages according to what the learner needs.
Natural Mandarin is modelled through the teacher’s voice, appropriate audio, stories and activities.
Learners repeat, respond and practise until familiar language begins to feel more natural.
Pictures, sound and Pinyin help learners connect the language they hear with meaning.
Pinyin supports early reading. Chinese characters are introduced gradually according to readiness and goals.
Questions, conversation, games and role-play give each learner a reason to use new language.
Vocabulary and sentence patterns return through review so that each new topic builds on earlier learning.
What lessons develop
No learner receives exactly the same balance. These areas are selected and combined according to age, level and goals.
Notice Mandarin sounds, tones, familiar words and meaning.
Respond, ask questions and use useful language in conversation.
Use Pinyin as a pronunciation and reading bridge before and alongside characters.
Build character recognition and age-appropriate writing gradually.
Where lessons happen
Children and adults can learn online from Lagos, elsewhere in Nigeria or outside the country. The format and lesson length are planned around the learner.
In-person home lessons may be arranged in Lagos. Availability is confirmed after considering the learner’s location, preferred schedule and the practical teaching arrangement.
Your first step
The free consultation helps us understand the learner’s age, experience, goals, location and preferred schedule. You receive a recommended format and personal quotation before deciding.
A parent or guardian remains the primary contact for every minor. Scheduling, payment and important lesson communication go through the adult, and tutors must not conduct private or inappropriate communication with children.
